On a recent family vacation, I began playing casino blackjack at a local hangout. Although the casino has a light air to it, there was action to be seen all around. Players of all different backgrounds where putting their money into casino blackjack. That night, I took home $100. Small now, but it made a world of difference.
When we got back home, I began reading more about the game and playing some casino blackjack online. I must admit, I am not a huge fan of all the casino games. For me, online slots do not require enough strategy and I can get bored fairly easily, but with casino blackjack, I could play all night. I’ve always enjoyed card counting, and I found how useful it could be to my casino blackjack game. Although it wasn’t always a perfect way to play, I had a better idea of when to hit and when to stay. If there were still many face cards remaining in the deck, I’d shy away from a hit if I needed a 6 or 5; the odds weren’t in my favor.
As I write this, I am still developing my casino blackjack play. There are still some areas I need to work on, I find I become a bit too emotional about the game and make bad decisions. When I look back on my play (all players should now that players can opt to save their games to review them at a later date) I didn’t make the best choices, but I learn and improve!
